About Treaty Shopping Centre

Treaty Shopping Centre is a busy shopping centre in Hounslow, and is home to around 50 shops. The Centre attracts an annual footfall in the region of 7.5million. Its two main entrance areas were in need of refurbishment, and Premier Track Entrance Tiles from COBA Flooring were selected for the project based on their success in other similar retail environments.

The Refurbishment Project

The installation was carried out by Mat Services in February 2014. COBA’s Premier Track Tiles replaced a loose lay floor mat system that had previously been in place. The Premier interlocking tile system was subsequently installed at the two main entrance areas to Treaty Shopping Centre. Over 300 tiles were required for the project covering a combined area of 42sqm.

While a relatively simple refurbishment, it has revitalised the entrance areas, creating a welcoming environment for its many shoppers and delivering many practical dirt and moisture control benefits too.

About Premier Track Entrance Tiles

Premier Track Entrance Tiles are fast becoming the preferred choice for many retail environments. The heavy-duty interlocking PVC tile system features a crush-resistant nylon carpet insert and is ideal for busy pedestrian areas. The product is manufactured by COBA Flooring, and comprises 80% recycled materials giving the Premier range strong environmental credentials.

For flooring contractors, one of Premier Track’s key benefits, is its ease of installation. The tiles simply link together, can be moved with ease, and cut to shape if necessary. The system is usually fitted in recessed matwells but can also be laid to surface with optional bevelled edging and corner pieces.

Premier Track Tiles measure 29cm x 44cm (16mm height) and are available in Anthracite, Grey, Blue and Brown. They are suitable for all types of footwear and do not inhibit wheeled trolleys. In fact, they are load tested to 1000 kg, which means that Premier Track Tiles can withstand supermarket and general retail supply trolleys.
