The Copthorne Hotel Merry Hill in Dudley is a corporate hotel, with waterfront views set in Dudley’s historic marina. They boast 138 en-suite rooms with conference space for 570 guests. With hundreds of visitors daily their entrance is key to people having a luxury experience from the moment they arrived.

The team at COBA Flooring were approached to offer a long-term solution, that would need minimal downtime and would fit perfectly with the FAAC Revolving Doors that were to be fitted. The perfect choice for the project had to be the Plan.a Standard Profile Open Construction with PVC Scrapers. For the walk off entrance matting, the Plan.a Standard Profile Closed Construction with Alba Blue inserts were chosen with the Alba Blue Inserts being the perfect match to the colour of the revolving door.

Both profiles were the perfect solution for The Copthorne Hotel, offering a two-layer protection to the entrance to their building. Making it much safer for their guests during unfavourable weather, and with easy cleaning, such as hoovering daily.

After the perfect profiles were chosen, the COBA Flooring team got to work surveying the site to ensure we had the correct dimensions before our team go to work manufacturing the product. Once the correct dimensions were taken, and the team had manufactured both Plan.a Entrance Matting systems, our installation team were on site. Ensuring the product was fitted to the highest of standards and providing installation with minimal downtime as to not disrupt any of the hotel’s guests.
