Donegall Place | Plan.a Entrance Matting

The COBA Flooring team assisted GM Design Associates alongside FAAC in choosing the best-suited entrance matting system for a revolving door at Donegall Place. This modern workspace is located in the commercial heart of Belfast, Donegall Place, formerly known as a bank building. The COBA team recommended the Plan.a Standard Profile Open Construction with PVC scraper inserts.

This robust, high-quality aluminium system, for heavy-duty use designed to cope with high footfall, is the ideal solution for Donegall Place. The open construction tiles allow for debris to fall through, leaving a clean finish on the matting surface. We know that the entrance matting will assist with protecting the internal flooring of the building and ensure that moisture is scraped off foot traffic to avoid slipping hazards. Due to the high level of traffic in a retail environment the Plan.a matting is the ideal solution to ensure that dirt and debris are scraped off and the inside of the building stays dirt and debris free.

The scrapers allow for flexibility and have durable PVC linking joints for ease of handling and easy fitting, allowing customers to avoid downtime in their entrance while installation is taking place. The aluminium also provides a smart finished look to the entrance, enticing by-passers to enter as well as compliments the aesthetic of the building. Aluminium can be recycled an infinite number of times, adding green credentials to the building.

2.7-diameter Plan.a matting solution was installed underneath an ASSA ABLOY RD100-3 Wing revolving door at one of the entrances. The Donegall building is 82 000 square ft and comprises both office and retail space.
